The Seago 2.6m Slatted Floor Inflatable Boat, currently listed at £397, offers a practical combination of manageable weight, a stable floor and straightforward storage. It is made using UV-stabilised 1100 Decitex 850g PVC and comes with useful equipment including aluminium oars, a pump, carry bag and adjustable seat.
A slatted-floor tender is particularly well suited to short journeys around the harbour, getting between your yacht and the pontoon or beach, and owners who want a boat that can be deflated and packed away without a complicated setup.
Space aboard is always valuable, which is where Seago’s Go-Lite inflatables come into their own.
The range includes 2.3m, 2.5m and 2.7m options, allowing you to choose the size that works best for your yacht, crew and storage arrangements.
The Seago Go-Lite 270, for example, combines a 2.7m hull with an integrated air floor and lightweight transom. The Seago 3.0m Hypalon Boat with Inflatable Floor & Keel uses 1100 Decitex Orca fabric designed to provide strong resistance to UV exposure, abrasion and demanding marine conditions.
It also features dedicated lifting points suitable for davits, as well as an inflatable floor and keel, making it particularly appealing for owners who intend to keep and use their tender regularly.
With capacity for four people and an engine rating of up to 10hp, it is a strong choice for larger cruising yachts and motorboats where the tender is an important part of everyday life aboard.
There isn’t one tender that suits every boat.
If compact storage and simplicity are your priorities, look towards the slatted-floor and smaller air-floor models. If keeping weight down is particularly important, the Go-Lite range deserves a closer look.
For more space and improved performance, consider one of the Spirit Airdeck and keel models, while owners wanting a durable tender for frequent or longer-term use may prefer one of the Hypalon options.
